Are you prepared to help your pet in case of an emergency? B.P. Training is holding a Pet CPR and First Aid Class so you can be ready.

This class will be held on Saturday, September 12th from 9:00 am – 2:00 pm at 16748 East Parkview Suite D4. This class is great for not only pet care professionals, but pet owners too. The training is taught by lecture, demonstration, and hands-on practice. The class also includes a handbook as a resource. Upon completion, each participant will receive a certificate. The cost for the course is $100.
What Will I Learn?

- Pet CPR
- Rescue breathing
- How to help your pet in a medical emergency
- ABC’s to pet first aid
- Assessing your pet’s vitals
- 5 things you should start doing today to keep your pet healthy
- Snout to tail assessment
- How to put together your own pet first aid kit
Who is the Instructor?
Kate Klasen, a holistic groomer, Reiki master, Certified Canine Esthetician, a Fear-Free Certified Groomer, and a Pet Tech Certified CPR/First Aid Instructor oversees this course. Kate has done a variety of jobs, from being a Veterinary Technician to a CPR/First Aid Instructor at the Police Academy. While at the Academy, she became the unofficial animal control officer of her department. She frequently worked with local wildlife as well as domesticated animals in emergency situations.
Kate moved to Arizona and trained to groom and work in a veterinary office. She now has her own salon, where she does pet grooming full-time. She also offers nutrition education. Kate hopes to educate pet parents and pet professionals on how to handle a “furmergency”!
