Start your morning with donuts and conversation! Join Executive Director Jane Przeslica for an informal monthly gathering to connect, ask questions, share ideas, and learn what's happening at the River of Time Museum & Exploration Center.

Whether you're a longtime museum member, a dedicated volunteer, or simply curious about the River of Time Museum & Exploration Center and its role in our community we're sure you'll enjoy a relaxed morning of conversation with Jane.

Held on the first Friday of each month (except December 2026 and January 2027), this informal gathering offers an opportunity to ask questions, share ideas, learn about upcoming museum programs and initiatives, and connect with others who share an interest in preserving and celebrating the history of the Lower Verde River Valley.

There is no formal agenda or presentation, just friendly conversation in a welcoming atmosphere. Stop by to say hello and stay for as long or as short as your schedule allows.

The evening will be hosted by country singer, songwriter and actor Chuck Wicks. Known for his hit songs "Stealing Cinderella," "All I Ever Wanted," and "Hold That Thought."

Wicks will be bringing his friends:

Tim Rushlow, best known as the former lead singer of the 90's country band Little Texas, helped create some of the most recognizable songs of the decade including "What Might Have Been," "Amy's Back in Austin," and the iconic "God Blessed Texas."

Richie McDonald, the longtime lead singer of the country band Lonestar and the voice behind several of the genre's most beloved ballads. Richie is known for performing and writing chart-topping hits including "Amazed," "I'm Already There," and "Mr. Mom," as well as fan favorites like "My Front Porch Looking In."

Larry Stewart, the former lead vocalist of the band Restless Heart, known for hits "When She Cries" and "The Bluest Eyes in Texas", making Billboard's Country Top 100 multiple times.

Workshops at the Fountain Hills Artists Gallery are back!

On September 14, join instructor Linda Lawrence as she teaches a class on constructing colorful bracelets with genuine Tila double hole beads. During the evening, you'll be able to make up to 3 bracelets. Open to beginners and experienced artists alike, the workshops offer hands-on instruction in a welcoming and creative environment. Each workshop is taught by a professional exhibiting artist, giving participants the opportunity to learn new techniques, explore their creativity, and create original artwork of their own.

All materials and use of tools are included in the class fee, and you have the choice of creating a cuff with or without beads. Only twice a year does sunlight come into perfect balance at the equinoxes. Join Vicky Derksen for an early morning desert hike to welcome the Fall Equinox sunrise. Not as spectating outsiders, but as creatures of the desert ourselves. We’ll take time to notice: the changing temperature and humidity, the scents, the sounds, and the feel of the Earth beneath our feet as we greet the sun over Four Peaks.
Our trail is about two miles round-trip on uneven desert terrain with rocks and natural obstacles that require steady footing. The elevation gain is moderate.
This hike is suitable for ages 12 and up with good mobility and fitness for desert hiking.
Bring plenty of water, wear sturdy closed-toe hiking shoes, and check the weather to choose appropriate clothing. The sky will be getting light, so flashlights are not necessary.
We hike even if it’s cloudy. Space is limited, so register today.

Touch Of Dead will perform on Saturday, September 26 from 7 to 9pm in the Listening Room at Atticus Music in Fountain Hills.

Touch of Dead, featuring the tight harmonies of Scott Hallock and Bernie Lezotte, will perform classic Grateful Dead tunes in The Listening Room at Atticus Music in Fountain Hills.

Learn the art of silver leafing, and some simple tricks to give your trees a natural look and gold leafing for the shimmery essence of autumn Aspen leaves. Start your morning with donuts and conversation! Join Executive Director Jane Przeslica for an informal monthly gathering to connect, ask questions, share ideas, and learn what's happening at the River of Time Museum & Exploration Center.

Whether you're a longtime museum member, a dedicated volunteer, or simply curious about the River of Time Museum & Exploration Center and its role in our community we're sure you'll enjoy a relaxed morning of conversation with Jane.

Held on the first Friday of each month (except December 2026 and January 2027), this informal gathering offers an opportunity to ask questions, share ideas, learn about upcoming museum programs and initiatives, and connect with others who share an interest in preserving and celebrating the history of the Lower Verde River Valley.

There is no formal agenda or presentation, just friendly conversation in a welcoming atmosphere. Stop by to say hello and stay for as long or as short as your schedule allows.

Donuts will be provided. Please bring your own coffee.

What started as an average day in a small town turned into an international sleepover, when 38 planes, carrying thousands of people from around the globe, were diverted to Gander's airstrip on September 11, 2001. Based on the true story, Come From Away depicts the events when the isolated community of Gander, Newfoundland, played host to the world. Undaunted by culture clashes and language barriers, the people of Gander cheered the stranded travelers with music, an open bar and the recognition that we're all part of a global family. Rated PG.

Come From Away will play September 11th October 4th, 2026. Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30pm and Sundays at 2pm. Reflections of the Valley is a two-part series that preserves the memories, photographs, and personal stories of the community's pioneering residents, business owners, and civic leaders.

Through engaging conversations and shared memories, participants will gain a deeper appreciation for the vision, perseverance, and community spirit that transformed the desert into the thriving town we know today.

Voices of the Valley Living History Interviews

Pull up a chair for an intimate hour of storytelling as some of Fountain Hills' earliest residents, business owners, and community leaders share firsthand accounts of building a new community in the desert. Through a guided interview format, you'll hear stories of the desert challenges, opportunities, and pioneer spirit that defined Fountain Hills during the 1970s and 1980s.

Bring your memories to share!
